The New Hampshire Board of Tax and Land Appeals issued an interim order Thursday that it wants to dive deeper into the town's property assessments after a local couple claimed the recent revaluation unfairly pushed over a million dollars of tax burden to residents. The interim order leaves open the possibility it may order a reval in 2026. Assessing firm, Corcoran Consulting of Wolfeboro, did the revaluation.

The Senate Commerce and Energy Committee voted 5-2 to advance Senate Bill 50, which would prohibit tax assessors from using drones to evaluate property. Senate Passes 50% Property Tax Cut, Would Be Largest In Wyoming History

The Wyoming Senate has passed what its leadership calls the largest property tax cut in Wyoming history. Senate File 69 as passed on third reading Tuesday would slash taxes by 50% and offer no backfill money for local schools and governments. The bill passed on a 23-8 vote and now moves on to the House. The House already passed is own version of this bill on Jan. 23.
