Sara Sorenson's practice focuses on property tax appeals of urban residential, commercial, and industrial properties in the Metro Atlanta area. Sara has experience preparing and filing returns and property tax appeals; negotiating real property valuation with county tax assessors; representing taxpayers before boards of equalization, hearing officers, in arbitration, and in superior court. She also counsels clients on options to simplify their property taxes, including filing parcel consolidations, and benefit from preferential assessments, including CUVA.
Sara also represents clients in various civil litigation, real property and business law matters. Sara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.
Sara is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials, and the National Association of Property Tax Attorneys.
