Paul Alfano

Paul Alfano's extensive tax abatement experience includes appeals on behalf of some of the largest REITS, retailers, and developers in New Hampshire and, in some cases, the country.  His practice includes current use (open space) taxation, special assessments and other aspects of New Hampshire real estate tax law.  As a former owner of a regional tax consulting firm, Paul's base of knowledge extends to hundreds of tax appeals, giving him a unique ability to identify tax savings opportunities.

In addition to tax abatements, Paul has thirty years' experience handling other aspects of real estate law, including commercial, industrial and mixed-use site development, sales and purchase transactions, lease negotiation and enforcement, condominium and subdivision creation, local planning and zoning board approval, and financing transactions.   Along the way, Paul has served as Legal Counsel to the New Hampshire State Senate, a director of the United Way of Greater Manchester, a member of the Board of Recount for the City of Manchester, and Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee for the New Hampshire Bar Association. Paul is admitted to practice in New Hampshire in both the federal and state courts.  He is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and Harvard College.
