Bryan W. Young, of the Law Offices of Bryan W. Young, P.A., concentrates his practice on Maryland tax matters in Baltimore, Maryland. He focuses his practice almost exclusively on Maryland property tax assessment matters, including Real Estate Tax Assessment Appeals and Personal Property Tax Assessments. He also handles Maryland Sales & Use Tax matters.

Bryans primary focus is representing commercial property owners in all 24 Maryland jurisdictions for real estate tax assessment appeals before the State Department of Assessments and Taxation, Property Tax Assessment Appeals Boards, and the Maryland Tax Court. Representations have been for all types of commercial properties, including: Office Buildings, Flex Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Apartments, Marinas, Sports Facilities, Golf Courses, Retail Centers, Malls, Banks, Cemeteries, Hotel/Motels, Restaurants, Nursing Homes, and more. His clients include National Institutional Investors, National REITs, Maryland investors and property owners.

Bryan is the author of the Maryland chapter of the ABA's Property Tax Handbook for all thirteen editions; is author of Chapter 17, Personal Property Tax and Chapter 18, Real Property Tax, of Maryland Taxes, 4th Edition (MICPEL). He is: The Past Chair (2007) of the Tax Section of the Maryland State Bar Association; Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation; and is on the editorial board of the Journal Multi-State Taxation (responsible for Maryland tax matters). Over the past fifteen years he has conducted Maryland Sales & Use Tax seminars for the National Business Institute and Lorman Educational Services on a bi-annual basis. Mr. Young has also conducted Maryland Sales & Use Tax Seminars for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He received his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1990. He worked for the then Big Six accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand until 1992, where he was a tax consultant. Bryan then became a member of the law firm of Basik, Bushel & Young until 2000. In 2000, he became a partner in the law firm of Wilkes Artis and he then started his own firm in 2001.
