The board approved an inducement resolution for a tax abatement agreement for a new Davidson Brothers brewery in Queensbury. The owners of the Glens Falls business were seeking a basic payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement for the brewery they’ve proposed at 1043 Route 9 in Queensbury, where Sports Zone and Replay Sports are located now. A standard PILOT agreement through the IDA would provide a 100 percent tax exemption for any improvements made to the property for the first five years and a 50 percent exemption on improvements for the final five years.
