Since the Nevada Constitution was ratified in 1864, it has contained provisions that govern the taxation of the mining industry and the methods of distributing the proceeds from mining taxes. Changes to taxation on this industry have generally required constitutional amendments, rather than action through legislation or voter initiatives. Question 2 would remove the provisions of the constitution that govern taxation of the mining industry and the distribution of those tax revenues. Read More
